I am new at this............I have a 85' 3.2L motor and trans, I want to remove the trans. I feel dumb, Is their anything more holding them togeather than the 4 nuts?
Thanks

scboy,
Yes, just four bolts. Remember the arm that controls the throw out bearing needs to swing out of the way as you remove the transaxle.

Sometimes requires a little extra muscle to pull apart.

Conversely when you reassemble, watch the throw out arm to make certain it slides over the groove on the throw out bearing.

Have fun,

it is easier if the tension in the throwout fork is removed. take off the arm and helper spring (underneath). makes it cake mating them back together too.
