2.4 engine value
 

I have the opportunity to purchase a 2.4 mfi engine complete. It has been sitting on the shelf for about 5 months, but it was running before being stored. The owner updated to a larger engine. Could someone tell me the approximate value? Consider the condition to be average. I would certainly take it apart, but I have no idea of a fair value. Thank you in advance for any help!

An "average, known to run" T commands around $2200-2500, if it's complete and correct. If it's better than "average", around $3k.
Those would be complete flywheel to pulley, air cleaner to HE's.
edit: The terms "average" and "known to run" are pretty vague terms. I would include that there should be no known leakdown deficiencies, or rod knocks in either case.
