3.2 Engine Case, Oil Galley Plugs - Generic Plug ok?

Just making sure the general consensus is ok with using "generic" oil galley plugs here.

Took the old one out when cleaning the cases.

PET PDF does not list it. Thank you!

I’ve seen the machine shops use 3/4” freeze plugs instead of 22mm, check my math. The metric ones aren’t hard to find.

I wish I had never taken these out. Didn’t need to. Now my machine guy is trying to help me machine the right size. The first plug was able to push in by hand. No good. Apparently you’ll need to tap these in. Gunna try one at 22.35

We make them on a lathe then freeze before tapping in.

In case our host doesn't sell these, another option might be machine shops that specialize in Porsche like Ollies or Competition Engineering would sell these. EBS may also be able to help

Part number is 911 101 185 00 for 22 or if you need over sized 911 101 185 01 for 23mm.
