Made My Own FG Watershields

Thought I'd share this with the forum. I decided to try my hand at a FG lamination project. Thought I'd try to replicate the K&N watershileds in the early amber fiberglass motif. Need to perfect my technique a bit and improve the molds, but the first set didn't come out to bad considering I'd never done this before.. Once I get the hang of it I will make a few sets and sell them to Pelicanites for a modest sum. Let me know off line if you'd be interested. And Oh yes, they a very light compared to the original metal ones.

Fun, FUN! Those look very cool.

Did you create top and bottom molds or did you just make the top part a finished surface? By creating a two part mold w/ a parting line, you could really get the fidelity you are looking for. PM me if you want some fiberglass and mold building tips.
