1979/1980 crankshaft difference

I have a pristine 1980-83 crankshaft that I received from Antonio in PR and want to install it in my 79 SC. Porsche revised the pilot bearing on 1980 and later cars to one that bolts directly to the end of the crank. Mine has a press fit to the flywheel. Can I use my existing flywheel and pilot bearing with this later crankshaft as it appears to bolt right on the crank. Or do I need to get a later flywheel and pilot bearing assembly. Any assistance you guys could give would be greatly appreciated as my rebuild is dead in the water till I figure this out.-+
