Mystery part
I started my engine drop and I notice that there is a large cylindrical canister in my rear passenger wheel well. What is that thing for? Also, does anyone have any advice to loosen the large nut (31mm) on the oil lines. I'm using two huge wrenches ("12) to try to break it free. Living in the bay area maybe I should ask Barry Bond if he knows any strong guys that can help me.:p

HI i assume you have a 3.2 carrera with a G50 box, the 'canister is prob' the fuel tank breather canister to the tank vent valve on the engine

OK, Don't rip on me.
Do I need this part? One of the hoses was not even connected on one end. What's in it, when I shook the thing it sounded like a there sand in it. |
HI you should have 3 hoses on the canister 2 go to the engine bay and the 3rd is a vent for the canister, the larger of the 2 pipes is from the fuel tank with fuel fumes in to the canister, in side is carbon pellets to hold the fuel fumes until the tank vent valve opens on the engine,(the small pipe in to the engine) you do need it!!
