MFI Guru's - I need help

MFI Gurus or Metal Experts!

Question - I was cleaning up the MFI Throttle bodies last weekend and noticed a hair line crack (not all the way through) near one of the bolt down holes to the center intake head.
What type of metal is this stuff? Can it be surface welded or just re-enforced with a "JB Weld" type material?
These are real 2.4S (36mm) bodies in great shape. My MFI pump is rebuilt and ready for the engine rebuild once I move back to the USA this Summer/Fall.
Any tips on the crack will help.
TIA,
Bavaria911

Your throttle bodies are made of magnesium and a good epoxy will help to support that area. The cracks are caused from over torqued nuts....and over 30 years of use.

Aaron,

Thanks - what is the best brand / epoxy to use. Is there a better German product over here (I'm in Germany) or is JB Weld the best on the market.
The stress crack is so small, but I am concerned once on the motor and over time, it will weaken and crack more or off!

JB Weld is fine I have used part #8265-S with good results.
