Henry,
I have a 74 2.7 MFI, what modifications to the stacks did you have to make to use the PMO air filters? Does anyone sell a filter kit for MFI that eliminates the stock air box? Where did you route the crankcase vent? Great engine, if I only had the money... |
I don't know of any bolt on air cleaner kits.
I order to fit the PMO filters on the MFI system you must change the mounting hole and remove the altitude compensator. The crank vents to the oil tank as usual. The difference is that the oil tank now vent to a small oil reservoir ( 91 turbo) with a drain to the engine breather so that you never have to empty it. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1152729056.jpg |

Not better; different! No 3.2SS is going to spin to 8600 RPM!

I would add that what's best for one enthusiast may not be best for another. The truth is that the owner of the 3.2 SS in the green car wanted a 2.8 SS but I only had one 3.0 turbo case and he graciously stepped aside for another customer. That gesture got him quite a deal. I appreciate good people and reward them whenever possible. |
That 3.2SS sure is some eye candy! Do the twin plugs allow you to run it on premium pump gas?

Hi Stony
This engine does run on street gas. I have recommended a hybrid mix for track days. A little up date: The car went to the track yesterday and ran 120 trouble free miles (60 laps) before loosing the clutch. I guess a stock clutch just can't handle the power. Who knew? :) |

I sent you an e-mail requesting a quote to build this engine. When you have a chance please respond. Thanks!! |
