				930 tensioner, release pin

Can this pin be released with the tensioner in place, or does it need to be removed prior, and the tensioner c-clamp put in place? Thank you! Can't quite get my mind around how it comes out from under the retaining clip once installed.

I've always used small allen wrenches to hold the tensioners and then removed the allens after installing the tensioners. Just grip with my trusty Channel Locks and pull.
