1971 911T / 3,2 conversion has begun..
Hi, i have just started to fit a 3,2 engine in my old '71 project.... the engine is from '84, and i have mounted the wiring harness.
But...... there are a few things i am in doubt of: The old relay and ignition / fuse plate on the side in the engine compartment -does the plugs fit the new harness, placement of wires and so on? What should be re-used? My plan is to put the fuel pump in the front as on the 3,2 and filter in the back. Is it nessesary to change the oil tank, the 911T has no oil lines for the oilcooler! Sway bars, what will fit? I believe it will be an issue... Anything else i should know..... Here are a couple of pics: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v661/Micker747/DSC03530.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v661/Micker747/DSC03528.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v661/Micker747/DSC03527.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v661/Micker747/DSC03526-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v661/Micker747/DSC03525.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v661/Micker747/DSC03524.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v661/Micker747/DSC03521.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v661/Micker747/DSC03520.jpg |
Hi,
Try mailing Scott Hendrey http://www.scottsind.com of Scott's Independent. I bought a 3,0 from him to install into my 71T. He knows all the necessary changes regarding harness, oil, etc. I'd tell ya but I'm not finished with the engine assembly. Good Luck and keep us posted. |
