Dizzy Differences
I'm wondering about the distributors on the early cars. I've got a 2.4 1973.5 911 with Webers. Everything about the engine is stock except for the Webers.
Is there anything to be gained by swapping to a 911S distributor? Is there anything to gained by have my current distributor recurved? Richard Newton |
I believe that there is now difference between the advance curve of the 3 engines for the 2.4s. Don't know about the CIS cars (yours) but I'd bet it's the same.
If your engine still has the CIS cams and heads then I don't think you can get more out of a recurved dizzy. -Andy |
Advance curves change based on compression ratio.
The lower the compression the more the advance. |
