I just removed the intake manifold and the manifold gasket is stuck onto the head and the intake. I tried scraping it with a razor blade but it still pretty tough to get it off without marking the aluminum. I also tried a screwdriver, but all it did was break the gasket into little chucks. The most problem area is near the stud. The gasket is really caked on and require a very sharp razor blade and force. Is there any solvent that I can soak to get the gasket off. Should I try heating it? Will this hurt the any component?

Go to your local auto parts store and pick up a can of "Gasket remover".

pack rags down the ports first. i use a small wood chisel about 3/8" across. it's basically a flat edged knife that gets pushed forward. i also bent the end a bit for a better working angle. keep it sharp and carve, slice, shave, whatever you need to do. works good around studs.
