glass blasted parts
I just picked up my fan, housing, and valve covers from the machine shop after having them glass pellet blasted. They look great, they really sparkle, but how do I keep them looking this way? They even show fingerprints now.

Clear coat powder coat. I am trying it next as the paint i used flaked in a couple of spots. mActually I am thinking about pollishing. Nevertheless the paint on my valve covers and shroud are holding up very well..
Good luck and good move to preserve that clean finish.

Good investment, I ended up doing mine myself with a little bit of time. The results look very good. I only powder coated the fan and used high temperature engine paint on the housing to prevent a tolerance stack-up (interference) between the fan and housing.
Have fun! Alex Before ![]() After ![]() ![]()

I would like to see how the clear powder coat turns out over time. I had my fan/housing and other parts bead blasted and clear coated with paint. The fan looks good but has become a bit blochy over time.... clear powder coat may have been better. As I understand it working with clear powder coat is an issue with a shop that doens't do much of it because it is hard to clean out all equipment to get rid of the other colors...
