2.7 MFI exhaust

Hello
what do you think of a custom empty (something that looks like stock) exhaust for my 2.7 RS MFI engine, why not two smaller mufflers one for each cylinder bank ?
what's your advice on any solution that works right.. ?

engine is stock except for DC40 cams.

best regards
Philippe

I used a modified stock muffler on mine. It had some of the baffles removed. That worked great and was only a little louder than stock. If you use an exhaust that is more open than that like 2 small flow through mufflers then you may find it hard to tune the MFI. Often MFI cars with very open exhaust systems will experience "flat spots" in the accelleration curve. I'd stick with a stock or slightly modified muffler unless you are only driving on the track.
