engine question
hi.. i bought a 1979 porsche 911 coupe and im am now starting to wonder about the engine size. it has alot of power and compression, the guy i got it from said the top end was rebuilt sometime ago engine # 930/10 i got this number from the engine block please help me thanks.

930/10, is from a 81/83 Rest of the World 911SC. It is rated at 204 HP, as compared to 180 HP for a US '79 911SC. The compression for a 930/10 is rated at 9.8:1 vs 8.5:1 for a '79 US model. The 1980/83 US model 911SC was rated at 9.3:1. Looks to me like you'll need premium fuel for that euro motor.

ok.. what else is difference from a euro engine and a us engine what else to look for just to be sure.
