Advice on pistons
Did some searching and found information on QCS pistions in several places in the forum, however most references were for QCS and JE forged pistons offered by Supertech. I'm not opposed to that, just trying to keep the costs on my already expensive rebuild to a minimum. I found a vendor on Ebay that sells the QCS pistions and QCS cylinders for a low price:
Item number is 260029314875 Any feedback on these?

I've never heard of them before. The pictures look good. If the cylinders are really Nickasil then that's a great price. Don't know how well made the pistons are but they look like copies of Mahle 9.3 to 1 911SC pistons.
I'd hate to be the first to try these and have problems but at those prices I'd be tempted. I'd try to arrange with the vendor a return policy if the pistons and cylinders don't measure out correctly when I bought them. Then I'd take them to a machine shop that has good measuring equipment and check all the dimensions. If they are within the new spec for Mahle then I'd give them a try. -Andy

Thanks andy, my thoughts exactly. I hate to be the first guy, however if I can get a return agreement, and my machinist says they are good I'm very interested.
