Broken head to cam carrier stud

Well, got sloppy and set my torque wrench to 25 lb-ft instead of 18.4 when tightening down the cam carrier nuts. Snapped of one of the studs that come off the nead. Luckily I am dry assembling to check piston to valve clearance. How difficult is it to replace this stud and what is the best technique to use? Does our host carry the stud?

From the parts diagram it looks like a standard metric stud, anybody know if it happens to be the same as an exhaust stud? (That would be way too easy..I have a couple of them..Murphy would not like such good luck)
Would you apply heat around the base of the stud?

I just did exactly the same stupid thing a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately I had an extra damaged head here to steal the stud from. It looked like a standard 8mm stud. Pulling the stud was really easy with a Snap-on stud remover, the collet type. I'm sure I could have removed it with a pair of vice grips easyily enough if I didn't have the right tool.

Thanks
No difficulty with the Snap-on collet, no need for heat? I have it and bought the 8mm setup for exhaust studs so it should be good. I did find our host has these, under the exhaust stud area but lists both the short one (8x35) and the long one (8x50).
Just glad I am dry assembling to check piston valve clearance

I didn't support the collet when removing the damaged stud, and I bent it, so it wasn't just finger tight, obviously, but I've seen worse.
No great loss since it was headed for the trash can anyway, but I was careful not to bend the (new) one when removing it.
I might have sprayed a little Rost Off (like PB Blaster) on it first, but I didn't use any heat and I didn't need any.
