Alusil re-ring advice

Is there any advice for using new rings in Alusil cylinders? I've read abit about it, many saying it's a gamble. What can be done to minimize the possibilities of failure? The engine has 74000 miles, pistons and cyls seem to be in good shape. Broke one oil ring with the help of an assistant during disassembly.

There are some really huge threads on this here in the forum..I would hope that Steve or Henry or one of the other real experts can address if you could get by just replacing the one ring you broke
