shbop 12-10-2006 04:01 PM

Looks very, very nice!

racing97 12-11-2006 06:27 AM

Mark
what is that flywheel made out of?

regards

Vintage911Racer 12-11-2006 09:57 AM

Norht Coast... The exhaust is made by a guy that works for Aase. It bolts directly to normal racing headers. Many guys in POC and PCA are running the same thing. Sounds insane and make some nice Mid range power.

Racing97- Thy flywheel is made at Aase as well. It is an aluminum lightened fly wheel and I will be using nice racing clutch to go with it.

126coupe 12-11-2006 02:35 PM

Mark,

Did it come to life? Willow on Wed?

911 tweaks 12-12-2006 03:32 AM

Mark, No Willow for me. Allan has been so busy that we have not been able to fire it up yet. I am picking it up for him this weekend. He is taking it to his shop and getting it all dialed in on Wednesday.

Have fun tomorrow....

Bob-

Wish I could tell you. When I brought my motor to my mechanic it looked liked hell. This is how I got it back. I asked him to rebuild the motor and he makes peice of art out of it. All That stuff he did on his own. I did not ask him to clean, fill the wholes and repint the shroud. I did not ask him to strighten, bead blast and repaint the tin. I did not ask him to bead blast, prep and paint the fan ant then clear coat it. I did not ask him to clean the case like he did... This is all stuff he did on his own..

I am thrilled to have him working on my motor.

Wow!

That is a beautiful engine!

Can you tell us what's inside in terms of compression, bore and stroke, etc? Or did you post the specs. somewhere else?

Who is your mechanic?

Thanks,

Vintage911Racer 12-12-2006 06:06 PM

Bert,

It is a 2.5L SS racing motor. 90mm J&E Pistons, boat tailed, (10.7:1 CR), 66 mm crank (knife edged, balanced, polished), GE 80 Cams, MoonCut Nikasil Cylinders, 1970-77 heads with 46mm intake, 40mm exhaust, and 39 mm intake ports and 37mm exhaust ports. PMO Tall manifolds 46/39. All the internal mods have been done to the case. Later model intermediate shaft. Aasco valve springs, titanium retainers. New intermediate shaft gear, Aluminum flywheel and 215mm racing clutch, Pauter rods.

That is about it. If I think of anything else I will let you know.

Thanks,

Bert

Oil Cooler Setup & Photo of my Tangerine 911

Hi Mark,

Nice race cars. I notice that you have oil coolers under the driver side fender well. What type of oil cooler are you using? Do you have a photo of the oil line plumbing in the front section of your car?

My car has the original 2.2 T engine and I am planning a rebuild next year. I am checking this forum for engine upgrades and there have been many great ideas.

I love Tangerine too. :)
