are 993 head studs "dilivar"?
I'm looking at build sheet for a car I might buy.
It says "dilivar head studs' and gives part # 99310117051. Are these "993" studs or regular dilivar studs? Or are 993 studs ALSO dilivar? Please straighten me out. Thanks. |
Good question...I was thinking I'd seen references to the 993 studs being dilavar as well but I don't recall exactly where it was.

The PET lists two part numbers for the 993 engine:
993-101-172-02 993-101-170-51 I suspect one of them is the turbo stud. I don't think any of them are dilavar, but steel instead. btw, the PET lists them as "stud" never mentions dilavar anywhere. |
Only a magnet will tell for sure.

I posted in the tech forum also and got a pretty good answer from Wayne himself.
