$2K 3.2L Hop-Up
I have a 1989 911 with 56K miles, no oil leaks, engine runs strong, bone stock. 95% street driving, maybe a few DE or club events, but rarely.
For a budget of $2,000, I am interested in suggestions for improvements that are either bolt-on or don't require pulling the engine and can be a combination of used or new parts, and for used parts, reflecting a reasonable estimate of the cost of the part on Ebay, Pelican classifieds, etc. The $2K is parts ONLY. I plan to do as much of the wrenching myself as possible. Thanks for the ideas!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1170042363.jpg |
Steve Wong chip and exhaust setup. Spend the rest on gas.

Low boost (0.5bar) bolt on turbo setup will yield you approx 340-360HP (or 400HP intercooled) with the right CHIP and custom FPR
And it'll be completely reversible too ;) |
Well, what I have done on a few 3.2's for 2000ish dollars is the following
SSI (or early heat exchangers) and muffler. Could use a flowmaster or magnaflow. Regrind 964 cams Steve Wong chip matched to the cams and exhaust. You will not be disappointed with your 2kish and it should have no effect on reliability. Nice looking car! Cheers |
Merv,
