				Intake manifold paint

What kind of paint was used on a carb intake manifold? I have used methelyne chloride paint stripper and glass beading and I have yet to get all the paint off!

Any suggestions for stripping these? Thanks, neilca |

My guess is that it is powercoat that was put on very thick. If so, just keep on glassbeading, it will come off. Or try sand, it's courser, and will take less time to take it off.

I don't think it is powder coat because the methylene chloride removes that easily. I suspect it is epoxy. And a darn good paint it is, now I am wondering why I started to strip it! |
