So Much Smoke!!!!!!

Just put another engine in my car 3.0.
started right up in the beginning and is getting harder to start.
smoke just pours out the back (it is white) smells strongly of gas.
how do i turn the gas flow down a bit?

how do i tune this so it doesn't hesitate in the beginning of throttle?

Are you sure that you are firing on all cylinders? That will dump lots of unburned gas into the exhaust...

Carbs, EFI or ???

More details needed.

i will check spark and pull all the injectors to make sure all are doing what they are supposed to. the fuel pump will not stay on after the engine cranks ... what could cause this?
