Oil Leak

Need a little help. I have a an oil leak between #1 cyl and the timing chain housing. It only leaks at high rpm. Above 5K. Checked the oil line on top all dry. Would the camshaft gasket or the O ring behind the gear do this? Can these be changed without engine drop. If I mark everything, chain, gear, cam would I have to retime the camshafts?

There is a paper gasket between the camshaft housing and the chain timing housing. There is also a rubber o-ring for the camshaft cover. If these leak, it will be lateral to the head for #1. There is nothing between the head and chain housing but air.

You can't replace these easily with the engine I don't think. I did it with the engine out. Possibly could do it with a partial engine drop. You would need to remove the chain cover, tensioner, idler arm then the difficult to remove camshaft nut and finally the sprocket. Before you do this, though, I would have a mechanic look at it to tell you if he thinks this is the problem.
