993 HE's Too Big for 3.0 MFI?
Im in the process of building a 3.0 MFI engine using large port SC heads. I have a set of 993 HE's with flipped flange for use on the early heads. Are these too large for use on a 3.0 MFI engine? I have heard that these engine benefit from some back pressure.
Regards Steve

FWIW the ID. of the 993 heat exchangers is identical to the SC RS and RSR 3.0 header which happens to be 42mm or 1 5/8th inches. If you have smoothed your heads out and are running some hot cams it should work out pretty well.
