Front suspension rebuild..

I have just disassembled the complete front suspension of my car, due to very bad handling !

After all the parts was removed from the car, i tried to inspect every single part, and i relay did not find any critical points - i cant see any defects  The front shocks is Bil stein the type ... 5001-HO these have maybe a very minor difference in the feel when they are compressed (the left one is the soft one), and a small clearances in between the shock part/ tube - no oil leaks - the expand by them self as they should.

I think the best way to start is to fit 2 new Bil stein inserts of the same type ( std.) i assume they are ??

Do i need to do something with the guide in the tube, or is it even possible to change something here ?

As the car is lowered i am thinking about moving the spindle the up-wards on the tube, to get fully suspension travel and better geometry in the suspension.

Have anyone tried to move the spindles up on Bil stein struts?
I can se they are welded by one big spot on the back, but i do not know if this is it .. or the are schrinked on the tubes ?

The four rubber bushings in the lower arms looks OK.

After the car has stand on 4 jigs for one year, because of engine rebuild, it would not get the same low ride hight as before (even after 500 miles of driving) - maybe due to friction in the rubber bushings ... and mabye therefore the very bad handling . By bad handling means that the car pulls from left to right as the suspension is decompressed/compressed. Imagine if you are driving on a road with many small hill's so you relay use your suspension from max. compression to full stretched legs .. over-braking problems at the front at low speed or in rain are also a problem!

Any advice are more than welcome!

See normal low ridehight on attached picture.
