MFI 2.7 Vs 3.0 78 SC motor do I, don't I

I'm at cross roads, my 74 2.7 911s needs motor needs a rebuild

Option 1. - Rebuild my 2.7

I have access to a Complete MFI set-up from a friend pump completely rebuilt by bosch in Germany, everything in good condition set up for a 2.7RS

I have a set of DC 60's, JE pistons (still have to buy) titainium retainers and double value springs etc.. all the bits to make a screamer (but I have a mag case)

Option 2. - buy a 3.0 and build my 2.7 at my leasure

A guy I know has a 3.0 911 sc engine (78) in good working order (180 hp model) $5K Aussie and I can build my 2.7 screamer at my leasure.

I have ssi's and an m&k 2in 2out (which is a great exhaust)

Not sure which way to go what do you guys think I should do????

If you want to drive your car anytime soon buy the 3.0.

I rebuilt my 2.7 myself, but it took months and months as I found more and more things that needed repair. An old 2.7 rebuild is not a weekend job.

Yeah, you're right, the 3.0 is being leakdown & compression tested and checked for broken studs, I'll throw that in so I can drive it and build a bastard out of the 2.7, or better fix the 2.7 throw it back in and build a bastard out of the 3.0

I have also aquired a complete MFI set up minus the injectors and lines
from a guy I know who lives near me. I is from a 911s and the pump has been rebuilt by bosch in Germany (with recipts) for a 2.7 RS, it is in
perect condition 36mm throttle bodies. Can't wait.
