Re torque your head studs after 1000 km ? I have now driven 1000 km (620 miles) with my engine after rebuild. Is it time for re torquing the head studs ?? i have head different opinions on that - but what do Porsche recommend ? Regards Roslin http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1176975748.jpg |

With stock head studs there is generally no need to retorque. ARP head bolts have shown some issues in this reguard so check the manufacturer for their recommendation. |

Thanks for advice Henry. The engine is still completely dry, and running well. John, i like the Stahlwille because it is not spring loaded, and should bee very precise over time. - but you are right it is nice :-) Roslin more pichs from rebuild.. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1177010700.jpg My own special made washers for trough bolts, they are more equal than the OEM part, and do not damage the O-rings. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1177010869.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1177010932.jpg Special made fixtur, for grinding the cylinder top in a circular grinding machine |
