need help engine trouble???

I own a 1980 sc that I just had the motor rebuilt top and bottom...It now has three oil leaks just 2 months after the rebuild...my cis system when I got it back was put together all wrong...I had the motor rebuilt by DC AUTO in N.C...a oil tube was also put on wrong which I had fixed by my mechanic delta-v in Richmond...he is telling me I also need a AAV...my car ran strong when I first got it back except for the idle he had to set high to keep the car from cutting off while not in gear...I did not have a problem with my cis before the rebuild, just wanted to take care of a few broken head studs..now my car the other night started to cut off 5 times in a row when I would let it idle...I had loss of power and started to run very rough....I can't afford to make many more costly repairs and I live in Richmond VA...Maybe some one can just give me some insight...this is my first 911 and I love the cars just want mine to run right...thanks

If the engine was rebuilt by a reputable business I assume it has a warranty. It only seems fair that you give them a chance to remedy the problem.
What does that shop (Dc Auto) say about your problems?
Are they willing to help?

The idle problem sounds to me like a air leak.
Did the engine ever back-fire?
If so you may have a damaged air box or boot blown off.
What does the new shop( Delta V) think the problem is?

Hop on over to www.dorkiphus.com and go looking for RickV. He can probably help you.

Erik

oh, and do whatever Henry says.

Henry is right, have you contacted the rebuilder? First place to start.

Of course, I just can't remember a time when Henry was wrong.
