DC40 Vs DC60 whats the real difference

40mm PMO
JE 9.5:1 pistons

DC40 Vs DC60 whats the real difference in terms of driving?

Where do 60's kick in ( i.e. 3-3500 ) as opposed to 40's if I want to do a bit of street and track in my 2.7 will 60's be OK or will they make the car significantly less driveable?

I had a 2.7 with Solex cams in it and switched to 911S cams. That is similar to the difference you are looking at. I'd say that unless you are willing to rev your engine to 7500 RPM on the track you'll be happier with the DC40s. Also with your 40mm carbs I think they will be a better match. Through the years I've tended to use cams that peak at higher RPM, but now I've decided that a more moderate cam with better low end torque is more satisfying and faster with a stock gearbox.

you sent me this befoe, having a blonde moment , thanks tht has answer my questions, If I go the 2.7 route I'd look at a 60 for a 3.0 it's a 40.
