carrera RS ignition advance

Hello
I'vejust completed my 2.7RS engine rebuilt, but unfortunately discovered that i don't have the right dizzy...:(
the #########001 is on the engine right now.
The car seems to ran rather good before.
What is your experience with this combo ?
would you confirm the advance curves i have, and maybe give me an advice to add some spring to recurve or something like that ?
thanks a lot
Philippe

Shouldn't you be looking for a: 0 231 184 004 distributor ? Sorry, I can't help with the advance curve.

Very nice car by the way.

Phillip,

I was going to refer you to a thread from 6-7-01, but after re-reading it, I saw that you had participated in the discussion. It was titled "distributor lube." There was a great deal of information about timing spec's. Hopefully Warren Hall (early_s_man), will comment here, as he is quite knowledgeable about these matters and has an abundance of documentation about it.

ps Is the muffler on your car homemade?

Ignition advance curves.

I don't know if these will help you - better than nothing I guess.

My RS pistoned 2.7 distributor has been recurved to fit this one - mechanical advance only.

This is the other curve I have.

Both of these came off other previous posts on Pelican.

Good luck
