Suspected case leak-fix ??
So I rebuilt my engine and trans, and have been chasing a pretty good leak. I am beginning to think it is a case leak. Assuming I can find it, is there a way to inject 574 into the leaky area?
I was thinking a hypodermic needle.....

I doubt it... That case seam is probably only a thou or two at best, I can't imagine what would be small enough to get in there .... Hopefully someone will have a bright idea though!

I don't think there is a short-cut solution.
The best I can recommend is a black mat in your garage. Park with the engine on top of it.

Why do you believe it is a case leak? What seals have you changed?
There is a fluorescent dye you can add to the oil that will glow under UV light, and a UV-emitting penlight and pair of UV-enhancing glasses that will allow you to pinpoint the source. For $19, it's a good step before you decide to split the case.

I had a problem with an oil leak comming from the seam just below the front "nose" bearing and I did not want to split the caes. I used a scribe to rough up the area a bit, then used JB Weld. Did not look good, but then you could not see it after the pulley and metal was installed, but it worked.
