Anyone use a roller to apply Loctite 574 to Case?

So far, I've heard of four methods for applying the case sealant.

1. small bead
2. finger
3. acid brush
4. roller

Roller seems best to me, but I haven't found any info about exactly what kind to use. Wayne says acid brush in his book. Anyone use a roller and have a good experience?

Thanks!

I bought a small roller from Ace Hardware. It's about 4 inches accross and 1.5 inches in diameter. It helped to spread it evenly. You need to use the sealant sparingly so it doesn't get into the oil passages.

A rubber roller is the best, the type used for ink transfers....small 1" wide sponge rollers are the next best alternative and are readily available at any Lowes/H.Depot in the paint/stain section...
