3.2w/weber high idle

I converted my stock 3.2 to 46mm Webers & Electromotive hpv-1. After the motor is warmed up the idle is 1200-1400 rpm. I've disconnected the linkage and backed out the idle adjustment screws and it's still idling high. The idle mixture screws & air screws have been set.
The hpv-1 is set at 10 d @ 1,000 rpm. Would I back off the timing to slow the idle down?

Check the throttle linkage back to the pedal. It can get hung up where it goes through the engine tin.

All the linkage is disconnected. The idle screws are backed off so they're not touching the throttle arms.

I had a hard time getting 2.2 with a pair of webers to run right recently, I had to go back to the beginning and start over because everything was just a little out of whack from everyone else who had worked on the car over the last who knows how many years. I used this guide and got it dialed in right.

I would dial back the timing to 5 degrees BTDC. I bet this will bring your idle down to normal.

Also check your idle air correction screws are all the way in.
