Newer alternator on an older engine?

Hey guys,

What does it take to make a newer alternator work with an older engine? Are there issues using a 3.6 alternator on a 2.0-2.7 engine? Auto elctronics is has always been one of my weak points, so any help would be appreciated.

Gracias,

Dion

You need the newer 911/930 alternator housing or you have to machine the old 901 housing to fit the newer alternot. It fits deeper in the housing.
