CASE Savers Installation homemade

I like to do my case saver installation at home, so I have some questions before I start.

I will use my box colum drill & have it centered over the original stud.
For an thread of M14x2 I need a blind hole of 11,4 mm.

I am not intending to use a drill or a milling cutter. I would like to use a broach or reamer to widening the bore to keeo it in center.

Once the bore is available I am intending to use a three stage tap
which I will insert into the drill ckuck to have it align propperly.

Any comments or suggestions. Thanks for good advices.

Bob
