should I? 70 911T
keep my 84mm cast cylinders and bore to 85 and new pistons
or.. go to aluminum 84mm cylinders and new pistons? Will I notice any increase in power with 85 mm? street car just for fun. I'm beginning to wonder if I should split the case? In the rocker arm thread (me) I gathered my low oil pressure concerns may have been somewhat unfounded. 45 psi at 3k and 10 at idle. just seemed low to me and I plan on (knock on wood) this being my one and only build on this engine. |

You will get a slight increase in power and should be able to save money on the rebuild. On the other hand 85mm pistons will have to be aftermarket like JE and sometimes people don't like them as much as OEM.

I bored mine and got 85mm pistons. I haven't assembled the engine yet, but will report back whenever that happens. I figure if I hate the bored birals, I can always buy Nickies later.
