2.4 cis advice on stock heads and P&C

I purchased some used 2.4 cis heads I plan to have them check out and cleaned up to install on my popping and Smokey 73.5 cis targa. Along with this I plan to install new rings and upgrade to oil fed chain tensioner. I Plan to use this car as a daily driver and week end back road getaway car. With out venturing to far away from stock specs what else can I do while I am having the heads checked out to give me a little more where cost and use are concerned. My goal in this is lasting reliability and smooth performance for the street and open road (no time trials) just the wind and the winding sound for long stretches of open road.

I live in Downey California is there a recommended machine shop to take my heads to?

Here are some other things I have already done: rebuilt fuel distributor, 74 warm up regulator, Msd system, new injectors, Rebuilt stock distributor (dizzy).

any and all suggestions and considerations will be greatly appreciated where experience is concerned.

Thanks Guys

Richard

I really like Ollies in Santa Ana. They have been there forever and only do Porsche (well, aircooled VW too I think). Very reasonable and flexible.

Stay away from Motor Meister.

There are others in the area I'm sure but none that I have personally worked with.
