Weber Carbs Annotated
Since I mis-identified a screw in my other thread on Webers, I gave myself a "homework" assignment of reviewing exactly what screw is what.
Here's the exam: how did I do? In particular, if any of these items goes by a particular name, let me know-- we all want to use exactly the same terms in describing things. I tried to base this off what the Factory said in the original Weber manual but that can be a bit clunky at times as it's a translation. The best single thread so far on Webers, by the way, is this one: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/214424-my-66-911-has-rough-idle-runs-rough-need-help.html?highlight=weber+diagram http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1190904424.jpg |
Looks like 100% to me.
BTW, I used regular aircraft lock wire for the "VF". It's been on there for 7 years & still looks good enuff to go on them pretty carbs of yours. |
John you are one anal SOB.
But.....those carbs sure are pretty! |
hey john, your far right side "MJ" is missing. Just wanted you to know before someone swept the kitchen floor and might toss out a needed part!! ;-)
Looks great by the way!! |
Hey tweaks,
How many main jets on your carb? I see 3 on John's carb. |
Gotta love it when another guy puts his favourite parts on the kitchen counter, especially when it is the same granite I have in my kitchen (which has seen plenty of parts....)
Cheers |
hey 2.7Racer... I dont have any carbs so I dont know how many "MJ" I have... actually I do know, it is zero!
I actually know little about carbs, I was just trying to make a funny to John... all in good fun |
Nice diagram John,
What is inside the fuel bowls? On the bottom there are some jet type things and I can't find that info. Another labeled pic would be great :) |
