All cleaned up and ready to go
Well, it's time to start the assembly all that is back ordered is the gasket set.
I got the broken stud out by using a cheater on one side of the vise-grip and letting the other side hit the adjacent cylinder, (with wood protection in between)also heated the case. The wires from the flywheel pick ups that go through the metal shroud have the outer insulation coming off, is shrink insulation sufficient or to susceptible to heat? List of new parts: Valves Valves springs Valve guides Valve seals Clutch & throughout bearing Pilot shaft bearing New starter Rebuilt alternator Lower steel studs Camshaft oiler tubes Oil return tubes Rotor & cap Cam chain ramps 2 cam chains Heater hoses Reduced oil squerters Firer wall mat Trans shaft seal Etc. Any one in Boston area that want to see the assembly give a call 617 923-2224 http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1191541470.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1191541526.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1191541585.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1191541646.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1191541702.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1191541758.jpg |
Good luck. Lots of good threads on cam timing recently, as I'm sure you've seen. Looks good...

BTW, I'm early on in my build, I'm thinking of biting the bullet and replacing the DME sensors. My guess is that the wire, if nothing else, is susceptible to deterioration over time-no time like the present to replace.
