Webers - Startup Tuning
I have a set of Weber Ida 40's that I am installing on my 2.4 w/ Ecams for the first time. I was wondering if for my first adjustment this would be correct
Idle Adjusting Screws (Red) - 2 Turns out Air Correctors (Yellow) - All the way in Then make minor minor adj to the Air correctors using an air flow gauge.. Also, the red-boxed ones aren't "idle adjusting screws," they are your mixture screws. They have the most impact on misture at lower rpm, but it is the mixture not the idle they are adjusting.
Your idle adjustment screws are on the end of the carbs toward the back of the car and act on the linkage. The yellow-circled ones are indeed your air screws. Start with them out 1/8 to 1/4 turn and follow the instructions in the link. good luck |

I had to back that one way out to match the mixture to the others but now its spot-on. (I think.) Wideband O2 sensor goes on tomorrow. |
