2.4 Back together - Questions
 

Ive had my 2.4 back together for 2 days and put about 40 miles on it since its top end rebuild. I put 8.5 qts of oil in it and ran it. It smoked at first but i think from all the sealants and oil on the case and such. It finally subsided today.

I checked the oil today once the engine had warmed up and it wasnt reading on the Guage at All.. ! so I had to add 2 quts before it showed on my Metal gauge at the LOW mark...

ARE THERE DIFFERENT LENGTH DIPSTICKS.. ?? this car was orig a 2.2.

Once I filled it up and ran it about 2 miles and parked it I once again see smoke coming from the Alt area!!! What Gives! !

Im seeing a little oil on the lower cam towers that I think is coming from the Oil return tubes.. Not much at all though..


SECONDLY .

The Temp guage is now pegged out at 300 ! wheres the temp switch located?
