Will 3.0 Engine Cover Plate fit a 2.7?

Does anyone know whether or not the engine cover plate (930-106-301-00-OEM) for a 1976-1977 turbo would fit a 1977 2.7?

i have not been able to get a definitive answer to this question, yet it seems that if this cover plate fits and helps with the cooling, it would be a reasonable modification.

I suspect that it would fit. Cylinder spacing on center is essentially the same, though I doubt this would make a huge difference. THe later style deflectors that go between the cylinders were altered though and did make a difference.

They were essentially notched in one location, factory changed the design later. I know there were some posts about it, and also documented in one of Waynes books.
