Don't be scared ... took almost 8 years on pump gas for that to happen and it may have simply been a mechanical failure... even though everyone says detonation did that :)

EFI may help prevent that if you can get a knock sensor in there. Unfortunately, that is a huge challenge to get one that works right since they kinda have to be matched to your engine type. Maybe if you used the 3.2 parts? Not sure... and EFI is NOT my strong suite.

Thanks for the advice and the information. I will consider all that I have read before I make my engine management choice.

I believe my first puchase will be new pistons and cyclinders. I would like to increase the bore size from 95mm to 98mm at 9.5:1 compression ratio, but I read that work has to be done to the heads to use the 98mm piston diameter. Is this true?

My heads were rebuilt about 4,000 miles ago and I did not want to rework them for new pistons and cyclinders. Thanks again...
