reassure me, the 1973t cis 7R motor can be built as a 2.0L?
Hi gang,
I have no reference books with me today but is my memory correct that the spiggot size on the 1973.5 (2.4T motor) with CIS, will allow small cylinders to be used and thus build a 2.0/7r race motor? I'm pretty confident that my memory is correct, but just need the reassurance since I don't have my books with me at the moment. thanks brant |
The measurement is called "Cylinder outer base diameter to crankcase"
2.0 (mislabled as 2.2 in the caption, nice proofing Dempsey!) 92.072-92.159mm (checks with spec book p. 27) 2.2 same as 2.0 (checks to spec book p. 39) 2.4 same as 2.0. It's only when the 2.7 cylinders appeared that the diameter went to 97.072-97.152mm, or a 5mm change, basically. |
Thank you John!
needed that reassurance to know I was on the right path! brant |
