9.3 CIS pistons with E cams?

easy one, I hope. does anyone know if I could run 9.3 Cis pistons in a 3.0 with E cams without valve clearance issues? stock '82 SC heads, US spec. anyone done this? any input much appreciated. Don.

I was told by a local shop that even T cams would be a hard fit on CIS pistons. Pockets would make pistons tops way to thin.

Don:

E cams won't work with CIS pistons; the intake valve strikes the dome on that side.

Time for either 964 or 20/21 cams.

thanks for the help guys. I'm putting webers on the engine. I've bought a set of RSR pistons to use. the CR may be a little low with stock heads but that's easy to fix. I'm just having second thoughts about using a mint set of real RSR pistons where they're not really needed. seems like someone could put them to better use. could sell the RSR's and get JE's I guess. any thoughts?
