Porsche Crest Universal engine stand and Porsche adapter

Does pretty much any engine stand hold a Porsche engine stand adapter, like the one our host sells? It looks like it would and the listing description says it does but I was wondering if it's true in real life. Thanks for your input.

I used the porsche stand adapter from Pelican with a universal 1000 # engine stand from harbor freight (ITEM 32916-0VGA). It worked just fine and costs $39.99.

The stand I chose has 2 front legs so that I can run the engine (with adapter attached) in between the legs and then raise it and insert the back of the adapter into the hole of the stand.
If the stand had only 1 forward leg, then you would need a hoist to raise the engine (or several really good friends to lift it).
Just an idea.
