82 SC CIS w/ 964 cams????
 

I read this tech article http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/911_engine_rebuild/911_engine_rebuild2.htm that provides an economical strategy for getting more HP out of the CIS. I'm hoping get some feedback from anyone that has performed this change or heard about it. If this is possible I plan to implement it along with the SSI change. This probably would not get me the 300HP, but I atleast should see 215HP with a little more play at the top of my gears?

The 964 cams make a nice strong 3.0, especially with SSI's. The power band will feel very similar, but stronger. It will come on the cam around the same rpm, just with a little more pull.

I have done two 3.0 with 964 cams, one with SSI's, one with out. Both were great motors. I did not dyno either one, but would bet your 215hp goal/estimate is in the ballpark.
