So how many parts are there in one of these engines?

Just wondering if anyone knows, not counting induction or exhaust, (too many variables) how many individual pieces are there in a flat 6?
I've built plenty of type 1's, type 4's, SBC's, 2 stroke outboards, etc., and every time I put a flat 6 together I'm surprised at just how many pieces and parts there are and how long it takes to do a proper job.

not that much more, 2 cams, same amount of lifters and rockers for any six,...timing chain (2 ) and related parts..pretty simple.
Just intensive on the labor side

I asked myself the same question while doing my first tear down.....bout triple the number of a SBC. Nothing has happened since to change that SWAG.

There are AROUND 200 discrete part numbers in the engine.
