Engine Seal Kit or seperate gaskets seals?
Hello
Performing a reseal/gasket replacement on the 2.7 CIS motor I just got for my 914-6. I will be putting my weber carbs on it. When purchasing from our host do you get better quality seals/gaskets when buy them individually or is the Victor Reinz (sp?) kit a better value at equal quality? Not touching bottom end. thanks Daron |
Better yet - Wrightwood Racing gasket set custom-made to your specific needs. Better than the Reinz stuff and much less waste. Worth every penny. Do a search for reputable re-sellers of Wrightwood products, as they are not retailers. I personally recommend Henry Schmidt of Supertec, Steve Weiner of Rennsport Systems, and Troy @ EBS.

What Dave said, I hate getting a whole set, so much waste (how many of you need valve seals) but then does it cost less to buy it separate? Custom sets would be great. One advantage of kit sets is that over the years you collect so many xtras you can help out just about anyone.

I bought the Wrightwood set for my latest build - and STILL got stem seals.... hehehe can't escape 'em.
